W.T.F., Waterpumps That Fit, an Alfa club member with a 74 4 door Sud recently tried to replace the water pump, but the standard pump would not go all the way in and was sitting out about 3mm, he called the firm he purchased it thru, and they said they are all the same, called 2 other Alfa places and they said they should all be the same, but got on to an old bloke in South Australia who has New Old Stock, and said the early ones are different, they are shorter and have a different impellor, so he purchased it and it did the job, i was talking to him and told him, "no, they are all the same", i checked my spare waterpump at home and it said, on the box,  'Alfasud - Sprint, 1200, 1300, 1500, 72-84, Alfa 33, 1200, 1300, 1500, 1700 83 - 95, ARNA, 1200, 1300, 1500, 84 - 86', so there you go, i act like a know it all, but don't....Colin.
