Victoria / 2007 Spider for Sale

All the bits you cant see are done (I spent nearly $6k on the 140k service) and had new radiator, suspension arms, fuel pump, rotors, tires..much more. Can send a pic of the receipt.
Drives great, just needs a little tidy up with things like gutter rash here and there.

Last post by festy - March 11, 2024, 12:28:01 PMStill slowly chipping away at this. The filling and sanding took far too long, and I regret not spending a bit more time getting the metal closer to its proper final shape because it probably would have been less effort in the end.
The first two coats of colour are on, I'm using 1997 ford laser 'classic red' because one of my GTVs is AR501 Rosso Alfa and the other is meant to be AR501 but has been repainted an orange-er red, possibly FER300 Rosso Corsa - and Ford Classic red is about halfway between the two.
And also because I had half a litre left over from repairing a laser a few years ago

Last post by Anth73 - March 09, 2024, 03:53:21 PMThis 1970 Series 2 1750 GTV project car has been patiently waiting for its time to be returned to its former glory. However, with a stepnose restoration also underway I've decided it needs to go to a loving Alfista who can continue its restoration.
The Certificato d'Origine confirms this 1750 GTV with chassis number AR1454917 was built 4 June 1970 and shipped to Australia on 18 June 1970, originally with a biancospino exterior and skai nero interior. The Australian compliance plate is stamped 10-1970.
The car retains the correct specification 00548 engine with number AR00548*50869 and according to the Fusi production logs, this engine number is in the correct engine number range for engines fitted to 1750 GTV production in 1970, making this 1750 GTV a matching chassis / engine series car. Unfortunately Alfa Romeo did not record the specific engine number fitted to individual cars until the 2000 GTV, hence I cannot confirm if this is the original engine fitted but equally it cannot be ruled out.
Though the car requires full restoration it is 95% complete with only some readily available interior trims, mechanical parts and headlights missing. It comes with its original 1750 dash and the virtually unobtainable NOS condition upper centre console (1968 production date). It also comes with a lower centre console (the piece between the seats) that can be readily refurbished.
I sourced from Italy excellent condition front and rear bumpers, stainless steel door sill plates, rare 1750 dash trims and badge, bootlid 1750 badge and QV C-pillar badges. Also included with the car are two spare doors in very good condition, all window glass, two Weber 40DCOE carburettors, correct specification airbox, front seats with runners plus rear bench seat that provide a good basis for restoration and Carello rear lights.
I would prefer to see this go to an AROCA club member and will intially list the car here exclusively. Please contact me on 0408 408 259 with any questions, photos or viewing requests.

Last post by giordano92 - March 06, 2024, 12:18:12 AMHi, I would take it to an Alfa specialist to run a dianostic test. There could be a number of causes, however, once it is scanned, the fault code reader should be able to give you a better idea.

Recently went to run it and found the clutch pedal went to the floor so attempted to bleed the hydraulics without success. Decided to remove the master and slave cylinders for reconditioning - to no avail, I can't get them out. The vehicle is mechanically sound except for the clutch issue and has some minor rust.
I have other projects to complete so the 1985 GTV 2000 has to be sold. Open to offers, let me know what photo's you want to see.
