Does anyone have any suggestions to where I might locate one of the above please, as the braided cables on mine have broken? New would be perfect, but good condition 2nd hand OK also. Prepared to source overseas if necessary.
Many thanks.

Victoria / Brake Rotors/Pads suggestions ...
Last post by BuggyGTA - April 03, 2024, 06:30:51 PM
Hi Guys,

Im looking for a place to get the Front disc rotors and Brake pads done on my gulia quadrifoglio, I got quoted from the alfa dealership between 4 to 5k which sounds very expensive..
Does anyone know a better place i can get them replaced, or even different brand rotors/pads that work well with the car?

Quote from: Allthehelpicanget on August 05, 2020, 12:53:22 PMHi Guys, the link on the first post of this thread is supposed to be a list of Club sponsors. That's not what opens up when I click on the links.
It turns out to be a membership application form.
Im looking for an independent Alfa specialist in the Doncaster area. I have a Giulietta I would like to have a pre-purchase inspection carried out on, and the owner doesn't want to go very far from home.

Cheers
Rob

Try Benincas at Surrey Hills. Superb

Hi Victorians,

Are we representing at this weekends Auto-Italia?  Any organised (or disorganised) convoys doing the road trip?

Interesting idea MD. I have put a ball valve inline in the engine bay already; wouldn't be hard to change it to this type of controller. Running the cable might be tricky though. I would want to keep it operating via the original control knob on the heater box. Need to have a look under the dash and see what the space is like.

Other options are move up MD's way where you just don't need a heater or convert the system to a climate control system with no heater tap. The matrix is constantly fed coolant and airflow is controlled via a blend door. Or maybe not...

My Alfetta has just returned from being 'tuned' and serviced. Listening to it I have decided I need a new mechanic, so does anyone have any ideas? Redlands area, south Brisbane or mobile would be great. Matter of some urgency as I won't drive it as is. Hoping you can help - thank you

Thanks - I ended up taking it to Downie & Downie in Brookvale who were able to relatively easily connect the Pioneer head unit to the steering wheel controls as the loom was still in place (a win!), but changing the date is a longer term project that they are looking into. They said they roll back some of the software in the car, but are concerned that may have unintended consequences. So the saga continues...
