Title: My V6 won't start
Post by: Mika on April 29, 2012, 08:51:50 PM
I have a 164Q (3L with Motronic injection) and I went to start it this weekend after it had it sat idle for approx. three weeks and it wouldn't start. This is the first time this has ever occurred.

The battery had plenty of charge and it seemed as if it was going to start a few times just it just wouldn't catch.

Before pulling things apart I thought I would see if anyone has any views as to what the problem maybe?

the first thing to check is fuel and spark?

Thanks for that, I assume the best way to check for a spark is to pull off a lead and hold it close to the head with a pair of insulated pliers and crank the engine over and to look for a spark?
