Title: More bent than usual..
Post by: MD on July 20, 2011, 08:24:11 PM
What's happened to these girls? Why dont we see more of them on the track? More character than you'll find in a Shakespear play ! :)

Admittedly you need to be a bit more bent than your regular 105 fan but hey, these are great machines!

Hey we all know, don't we that 'real" Alfisti drive sedans  ;D  Cool, always love to see a Berlina or Super in action, or for that matter a '75 etc.

I used to use my 2L Berlina as my club track car, I had so much fun in it, RIP old girl.

Those sedans are a bit too close to the ground for my liking.

Hahaa Paul,

I thought it was about time I came out of the closet and declared my love for 105 sedans. Such an under rated bunch and so here's hoping there are some tucked away photos of these girls in their glory..

Post'em if you got'em.

Here's some joolies wall to wall.. :) :)

Love the 105 sedans especially the Berlina's as they're a bit of an orphan. Would love to drop a TS donk in one
This ones from Sweden with a TS conversion and is a bit of a launcher.

Way to go Pep, ;D. You too mate need a Berl or Joolie in the Garage to keep your GTV company.  Good to see you have come out MD.

There are some pretty nice Berls on the BB on a thread there, including this seriously wicked lowered, flared Navy Blue racing one.  I remember this very nicely prepared Classic Rally 2L red one in the UK that really looked awesome and gave me the idea to do something similar with mine at the time.  Ran out of funds and had to sell it in the end.

There are a number of pretty nice Berls and Joolies down here in Tassie.  Must take some snaparamas of them for you to see.

Looking forward to some of those photos David.

Peppy le 105, you always come up with the goods mate. That Berlina stance with the nose up and bum saggin' brings it all back. :)

I suppose it's horses for courses but the driving position in the sedan compared to the one in the coupe is like night and day. Not saying one is good and the other bad, I am just saying how different they are. My ergonomic preference being the sedan.

Here are a few more from my copius collections of sedan images!

Hahaa Derek I see you are bent above the shoulders as well.

You do know that somewhere high in the Hymalayas people are erecting wind chimes as we speak to save you ??  ;D

I think pep105 should have one of these David..

MD, I want that 1750 Berlina.  How cool would that be, it looks so sweet and yet agressive.  I could have so much fun in that. Pep will have to find his own  ;D ;D

I know this is a racing topic but this is what they look like before they go racing.. :) Hope that's ok?

Note the rear exhaust pipe angularity. It is how they should be for the street car (the Joolie too).

Ohh sh*t yeah MD - thats it mate

Arse down nose up is a 105 given unless you spend megga in changing
the suspension geometry as you know. But I love the stance especially the sedans.

MD & Davo you got any pics of your old Berlina's ? If so please post.

My first experience with a Berlina was at uni, there was a hot bird who drove one, a family owned since new auto, although her beauty was inversionally porportional to how annoying she was, so it never went anywhere - got to drive the Berlina though and sample the LSD  :)

Great thread MD

Dave ill take the red one

Keep the pictures coming all

Thanks Pep. What a treat!

I'll try and dig up some photos of my girls but they were just street cars. Probably going to have to scan the prints so depends if the quality comes up whether I'll post them or not.

Meantime, talk about our good mate Paul Edwards, I found his Berlina. Just the go for the Alpine Chapter !!

Pep and MD fantastic pics, will try to get some pics up of both my old Berl and some other ones.  But for sure we love our Joolies, as you know.

I am working on a different computer (laptop) at work and for some reason can't access my other photos at the moment, which must be stored on the hard-drive on the desktop.  Something to do with a little accident at Hotham a couple of weeks back (broken right leg)  :(, and a missed out on ski trip and need to have my leg elevated.

Pep, shame about the fantastic looking bird, but at least she had good taste in the Berl, if not you  ;D ;D.  No worries you can have the red one, which does look fantastic BTW.

Geez Derek, the guy driving the red one must have had to sit on a slab of Fourex to see over the dashboard !  ::)

Check out where the sun visor banner comes down to on the windscreen.

Just so cardigan wearing toe-sandal clad sedan drivers can see what a real car looks like.

Hey NigelC,

The tweed jacket, leather elbow pads, beret wearing, budgie smuggler camaraderie salute you.

That indeed is a fine Alfa.

However there is nothing more humbling than being overtaken by a four door box now and then.. Keep a sharp eye out lest you sample some humble pie ;D

It's what I live for.  I find GTV6 drivers get pretty annoyed, but not as much as Porsche drivers.    :D

i maintain that sheldon's 90 was much quicker into turn one than several more exotic machines at PI a few years back.  i was standing on the inside of the corner and he kept it flat far longer...though his top speed may have been a little less than the GT3 lol

Would just like to take this opportunity to re inforce what a real Alfetta looks like ......... :)

Now to go and buy a cardigan and get the patches on my burbery jacket as I dont own a GTV anymore..... :)

Evan,

I do believe that Sheldon does have an aeronautical plan and that you are a very close. I think he calls the device ,Winginit but you know the quality of some mobile phones calls..

Anyhow, I see you too have been sucked into the magical vortex of the four door charisma  :D

Not only four doors, but also rear wheel drive!  I would like to get it out on the track at some point actually - been a long time since I've driven a stock car on the track.
