Title: 101 Register presents 105 and Classic Vehicle Restoration Day
Post by: Anthony Sharp on April 28, 2011, 10:26:14 PM
Saturday 16th July Art on Wheels
2/11 Pilgrim Court Ringwood VIC 3134
Map Ref 49 D12.
http://www.artonwheels.com.au/location.php (http://www.artonwheels.com.au/location.php)

Following our 2 very successful previous restoration sessions, both booked out, we are pleased to announce that the 101 register invites you to Vyvian Hyrons, Art on Wheels for an afternoon focusing on the restoration of 101 and 105 series cars. Vyvian has been in the restoration business for many years and has had restored many concourse winning cars here and overseas.

This will be a great afternoon as we will have a range of vehicles covering 2 decades of Alfa Romeo.  Vyvian will have a selection of 105 cars in various stages of restoration including a GTA for members to view. As Art on wheels has very limited space, and also to offer members the benefit of Vyian's expertise, it is essential that we limit numbers to 30.  As numbers are limited please book early, to book please contact 101 register Captain (incorporating 750, 101, 102 and 106 Series cars) Tony Hawker 5989 8743 or
pr@alfaclubvic.org.au please RSVP by Thursday 14th July.

Just another reminder , that regrettably the ART on Wheels restoration day is FULL. I will happily put you on a waiting list, on the basis that I get any cancellations . If anyone is unable to come please email me anthonyclem@bigpond.com

Theses days are popular and we will be organising another , but I must emphasise to book early as there are limits to how many business,s can accomodate.

Thankyou Tony

Hi,
How do we find out if we made the list?
I made the request about a month ago but never recieved a reply back.
Recently I have also sent a personal message and an email to find out if I am on the list, but also no reply.
thanks

I'm in the same boat as you Joe.
I can only assume no news is good news !
I look forward to this workshop and drooling over the GTA.

This was my first outing to a 'Vehicle Restoration Day' and for those who have not attended one before I can highly recommend the experience.
A big thank you to Vyvian Hyrons for being such an entertaining host and sharing some of his incredible wealth of knowledge.

Yep a great day out - thanks very much to Vyvian for hosting, and Tony Hawker for organising.  The cake was very tasty too.

It was my first Alfa club outing, very informative and great chatting to everyone about their cars.

Very enjoyable. :)

Really enjoyable afternoon with Vyv and Alfa club members. Thanks for organising.

Was particularly interested in Alfa's use of alloy on the GTA's which can only be appreciated when looking at a bare GTA shell! I have used Vyv on most of my cars for over 17 years and can vouch first hand that his work is nothing but brilliant - an artist with metal.
