Mallala Historics will be running over the Easter break. I have entered. If there are any SA Alfisti heading down for a look (or a run!) come and say hello, I'll be the lonely looking guy with the red Alfetta in Group S ;D
Just drove back from Adelaide this afternoon. Looks like Tony Norris & his 105 GTV are getting an early start for Mallala. Passed in opposite directions near Bordertown.
Hi Phil,
There will be a few of SA Alfisti camped near the gate thats nearest the timing tower from the paddock area. You will see the Alfa flags flying!.
Cheers
Andrew
Great Andrew, see you there! I'm in garage 65.
It's very slippery today :o
and hard on brakes....I forgot how hard!
Day 1 done & dusted.
Qualified 4th outright. Stoked with that. Race 1 was diabolical!! Had an off and every time I'm in traffic the car comes off cam out of the slow corners an I go backwards....grrrr finished 9th.
R2 was a bit better, finished 7th. Stay tuned for tomorrows results :)
Hi All,
Great to see Phil Basket and Tony Norris flying the flag,Tony had an early shower but will have to wait for Phil to give detailes.
Unfortunately I had to retire Black Jack early on Saturday due to head gasket issues but within 4hrs we were back with my mighty Red Alfetta GTV who ran like a dream for Sunday.
Congrats to Phil for a good weekend.
Cheers
Andrew
Sunday saw us have three races. I picked up one more place in the first and finished 6th in all 3 races, which is probably about where I should have been.
It was good to catch up with all the SA Alfisti, good luck this weekend guys....PS I think Andrew picked up a place in one of the regularity events!
Tony Norris unfortunately had steam coming out of #1 cylinder after qualifying, so he had to park it.
This is a great event, very relaxed and a great atmosphere. I will be back, but I will have better brake pads!!
And....a massive huge thanks to Hung for lending me his trailer for the weekend, really appreciate it.
