gdayALL,
I was on you tube today one of the nice 75 car I have seen
(EVO.75) VIC Plate you think he would of cover the plate.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrnsX8CmNVk&feature=related

"why would you rick it  bagging the wheel" ::)

That car is awesome, I'd love my 75 to look and sound like that!
Having said that, burnouts on a public street is pretty stupid, putting it on youtube and not even covering the plate is off the charts.

Not too bright, police officers have fined hoons for dangerous driving after viewing "confessions" like that.

In summary, this comes to mind ...

This is the moron that turned up to Spettacolo, would drive off occasionally to do full noise laps of the block around the display area, and then wondered why he was politely asked to leave.  Moron.

And as mentioned previously, not a good idea to put this on youtube with your rego visible, and when you can find out the location of his little stunt with a 30 second google search.

Alphie75, if you want to idolise a 75 - make sure you check out the turbo 75 run by a club member, properly sorted and actually used on the race track instead of loser burnouts.

Sorry I don't have any good photos:

Seems like everyone has something to say about this chap with some stupid comments listed above. Personally, I give credit to EVO 75 for having the guts to install a 24V in his 75. I would like to see other club members with a similiar setup! Majority of the workmanship was completed by him personally which also makes a statement, instead of paying someone thousands of dollars. If anyone here feels that they have acquired all the skills to build a car such as EVO 75, then please go ahead and present the vehicle at this years spettacolo.

In all honesty he hasn't influenced the club in any way or form and should be treated fairly instead of suggesting that he is a "hoon". I just wonder how many people have had some fun in some way with there alfa. Almost all of us at some point of our driving history.

Sorry for the confusion, he is a hoon. The club was founded by people who would now be refrerred to as the same.

Not questioning the vehicle setup at all, it is an impressive vehicle ... just could be put to more responsible/better use.

that is a LOT of work if that is true, different crank, conrods ..... and that is only the start ..
may be easier to just find a 3.2 engine

I'm sorry that you feel that EVO 75 has been harshly judged - guessing he's a mate of yours?  I think putting a video up on public youtube of doing burnouts does open yourself up for some criticism, as does his behaviour at Spettacolo.  I'm personally not a big fan of burnouts and mostly got them out of my system before I turned 21*.  Would never claim to always be below the speed limit, or not to enjoy driving quickly in the twisty bits on public roads - but I don't put videos of my efforts on the tubes either.

My stupid comment (250km/h) is a running joke on this forum, wasn't intended to insult Mr Evo again.

Total respect to EVO 75 for building the car, it's a big effort and very tidy.  I read the posts back then on AlfaBB (http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/milano-75-1987-1989/49904-newest-3-2-happy-meal.html), and watched the videos.  Impressive stuff.  Still a dickhead for doing burnouts on the street.

* except for on dirt, in my brother's go-kart.  that never gets old.  private property btw.

The motor was built at Glenwood Motors in South Africa according to the posts on AlfaBB.com.  $18k (plus duties - he was stung by customs if I recall).

It's a beautiful thing:

Ooooh, Arrhhhh, who needs porn or Viagra when you can look at the Glenwood motor.  If only I can touch it.

Oh so sexy.  Oh, baby.

I do admire it though and congratulations to the mechanical workmanship of putting it altogether, too bad on the behaviour.

Anyway, I can feel something coming on, got to go bathroom with my laptop and perv on the Glenwood motor more.

Coincidentally, this week I am meeting with the person who lead the team which invented Viagra at Pfizer.

No-one ever denigrated the value of his workmanship or the kickarseness of his car.  In fact, the original post was to point out that it was one of the nicest 75s the OP had seen.  There are a few 24v and GTA transaxle set-ups in the club.  They generally bring them out to track days.  I think everyone is probably quite impressed by his workmanship.  As far as I could tell, when it was parked up at Spettacolo everyone (including me) was very appreciative of the hard work that had gone into the car, even if it wasn't to their taste.  It does make a statement, I would love to know what you think that statement is though.

He has influenced the club.  He came to our display day and hooned around the local streets, which reflected on the entire club.  He is being treated fairly by the court of public opinion; he put up a video on youtube, he can expect that to be judged by the people that watch it, surely?

He is a hoon, which can sometimes be a good thing.  This is a little gratuitous though.  You probably also think it was skill rather than luck that prevented him from losing it at 0:35 in the video, nearly wiping out the cameraman.  He was very lucky there.

Why do you think we have an Alfa?  We all have fun in our Alfas, its just that most of us like to do it safely, be that on a racetrack or wherever, and we try not to put innocent bystanders at risk.

If i see a car spin the wheels on my street it doesn't get me upset unless I'm asleep or they do it more then once.
Then if i see a car speeding it gets me a little pissed off.

Thats my opinion, you may think different.

I just like making Adelaide jokes. :)

I work as an audio engineer on the road with bands, once when we were there at The Governor Hindmarsh with COG on tour, we did an all ages show there, and a little kid, maybe 14 years old, asked me to get Lucius' (the drummer) autograph for him. So I did. He was a happy little dude.
About 10 mins later a rough looking guy comes up to me with the kid next to him, and goes,

"Oi, did you just get my fucken' kid the drummers autograph?", to which I said "yes".

He reached into his pocket (I thought he was going to pull out a knife), grabbed my hand and shook it, when he let go there was a little zip lock bag with a big bud of weed in it.
He goes, "cheers mate, there's some of Adelaide's finest...".

And walked off with his kid.

Adelaide.....

Just out of curiosity what did you do with this so called bud in the bag ?
