Go Alfie!!
Got to love the metal bumper sprints. Awesome.
you new baby is lovely but a chrome bumpered Sprint is the first Alfa I ever drove and will always remind me why I love all Alfas'
You're a lucky girl to have such good taste so young.
Are you going to paint the bumpers on the 33?

I am not sure what my dad is doing which the bumpers :-\
chicks dig alfasuds? since when?? haha
really nice early sprint, warms my heart to see one loved, and by the looks of things, seems like u guys will keep the tin worms away!
two things:
1) is it in good condition or do the pics do justice (no close ups i see), if so, spettacolo time!
2) series 2 33s copped a 1.7l twin carb engine... just sayin' tehehe... ;D

hahaha, well i think everyone would agree that not many chicks even no what an Alfasud is, but i can tell you this i ain't no ordinary chick, i grew up with Alfie, he's been in the family for a long time. And yes the Sprint is in great condition although sometime in the near future i'd like to get it resprayed and fix any rust that decides to become visable :P But my Sprint and I were at Spettacolo last year, and it had two different sets of wheels lol
Here are some more photos....
Dad was changing the radiator and fixing various other things like changeing belts etc. to get rid of random weird sounds :P

The only sort to have :)
Hey Miss Alfa Sprint,
Can you ball park what a resto like this costs ? I would also like to do this one day as the 33 is truly the classic alfa to me!
Did you do anything to upgrade the a/c while you had it apart ?
cheers Tony

Hey Tony
I'll be totally honest here, i don't know how much money my dad has spent on the car cause it was a birthday present he doesn't tell me these things lol
As for the a/c nothing has been changed as far as i know.... :-\
Miss Alfa Sprint aka. Marisa
Hey Miss Alfa
Your pride and joy is looking good.
How ru going to decided which one to wheel out on ny given day?
Barry
Hi Marisa/Miss Sprint,
Your 33 is coming along very nicely, I like the look of the rear with no bumper kind of like a
33 GTA Corsa, pity you cant run it without a front bar. Your Dad sounds like a good bloke
be patient it should be ready soon, anyway you've got the sprint to enjoy in the meantime.
Cheers
Pep

Hi Barry,
Yes i know tough choice, but my dad wants the sprint as his sunday drive, which is fair enough seeing as he's fixed up both of them, i just hope i can convince him to come along to more AROCA events with me...
I am looking foward to the more powerful 33 though!! ;D

Hey Pep!
I think it would go even faster without bumpers too!! :P My Dad is an awesome bloke!!! and yes i am being very patient and enjoying driving my sprint everyday... me and that little sprint have had quite a few adventures together, it's always a pleasure to drive that car!! :)
Thanks
Miss Sprint
Hi Guys,
Just an update on my long awaited 33 1.7 IE!!
I ordered the number plates, they will be AR 3317 :D
Just passed the roadworthy!!
and here are some updated pics...
Well done, and you got the plates! :)
Congratulations on your (and dads) effort.
There are now quite a few 33's ready to show including Martins and Colins.
Cheers.

Yeah! I have already told Martin to watch out for my 33 next year!!! I'd really like to win something :)
Still quite a bit of work to do though, the dash board is starting to crack underneath :( and there are a few bits and pieces that still need to be fixed cosmetically....
Hello My Alfa Buddies!!! ;D
Update on my 33!
It's officially registered now as of today!! Plates are AR3317!
and it's sitting in the garage next to Alfie :D our garage has never looked better!!!
And i must say finally drove it around today and it was fun! Certainly got more power than i am used to :o
Will post up some new pics soon ! 8)
Also when i drove into vicroads today at about 2pm i parked next to what looked like a (correct me if i am wrong if the owner is on this forum) 1967 Giulia Sprint GT, dark red, but it was gone when i got out :(
Congratulations Marissa,
I hope you new one goes well and does not suffer the teething issues my one is suffering from at the moment. The gear lever boot was split and no good to you, let me know if you need any other bits as the spare is still clogging my driveway.
Andrew
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Well, actually the 33 is the Big Brother of the 75, seeing as the design came first and the 75 just followed its lead :P ;D
Viva Alfa's Sud !

Nice one, the 33 looks like the little brother to the 75, and the sprint the little brother to the GTV. 8) 8) 8)
l have a friend of a friend with a 33 like yours, it has a blown clutch, other than it's in perfect condition. He want's to just get rid of it pretty cheep. Do you want another Alfa 33 1.7? You can never have to many Alfas but you already know this. ;D ;D ;D
Cheers Paul
ps if your interested in the other 33 l can give you his number, the car is in the city.
Thanks but i think my mum would kill me if i got another, she already hates me enough now for moving the ford fairlane out of the garage for my 33! She called both of my cars two heaps of s**t! yesterday >:(
Update!!!!
Dad fitted the spoiler on this weekend while i was at Cars of the World.... here are some pics....
Neat finishing touch to the back, looks good Miss Alfa Sprint.
My brother Chris bought a 33 with one of those spoilers on the boot. When we picked up the car it was looking a bit grubby so Chris drove through a car wash on the way home. He came out the other side minus the spoiler! Didn't realise until he got home. I trust your Dad has mounted it securely!!
Cheers.
Lol!!!! omg :o
Yes i think he has mounted it properly!! ;)
Nice cars! I like them very much, especially 33. I've been driving them for 13 years now (first serie 1 and now serie 3). Great fun to drive them, and sound of a boxer is just something else.
I see your thorough approach in cleaning. Mine is quite radical, too. ;D
Enjoy driving them!
Oh, and yeah... I like this touch with plates nr. as well. Mine is ZG-0033-AR (which stands for Alfa Romeo, of course). The other one is ZG-0075-AR and just take a guess which car this might be on... ;D
Yay!!!
My 33 is ready to drive now!! Just been taking out tonight and AWESOME!!!! wow so much power i'll have to get used to!! ;D
Taking it to uni tomorrow for the first time of many ;)
