Hi Big Trev,
The 6hr committee has not had its first meeting as yet. AROCA Vic has just hosted the frist leg of the worldwide 100 years of Alfa Romeo celebrations. The Club has ran 7 events over 13 of the last 22 days. Once we get past our AGM next week we will start moving on the 6hr.
That thread made some interesting reading, I recommend it.
Sounds like there are going to be some openings for more Alfa (particularly interstate), Fiat, Triumph, Healy or Celica Teams. Not sure I'd be protesting any issues I had by not competing, may be tough getting back in.
I personally can't wait for the event, not sure what we will do without Evan though ... hopefully he is messing with us and will be there.
PLEASE ignore the comments at cvmotorsports.com and don't drag up old history and bad blood. Let's show the right spirit for an Alfa Centenary 6 hour relay race!
we have two teams ready and paid up
all we need now is the official entry forms and we will be set
we even have three cars left over
so if Dehne can get in touch with his fellow entrants, we can form the third team
i will be giving my blue shitter its final run this year , my alzehiemers has not progressed to far this year
so i should be able to do a few laps, without having to stop for directions
there has been a lot of work done on the celicas so they should be ultra reliable ,we are looking forward to this
ian ::)
Hello all

Some of the background work have been done or commenced. Lots of discussion and action to take care of. So plenty of things to do.
Let me know if you are coming.

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!
AROCA 6 hr Relay team reservations filled up full in less than 24 hr from expression of interest notice going out.
Got to be a first.
Regards
Neil
so does this mean there are no team spots left as i have a team and ive been waiting for the advert to go up here
dehne
i put up a post last April asking if you were interested in running
i received no reply, we cant do much more than that ,
ian
i had gotten a team organized and was waiting for the entries to open but since it is already full before the entries opened im guess i missed out hopefully they add some more teams or some pull out
i know a few teams from last year have pulled out so these spots should have been for new teams to join in thus helping to further promote the alfa 6hrs as well as motor sport in general. it is very dissapointing that all entries were full before the official entries had opened. very unfair when your waiting for them.
when are the 2011 entries opening so i can get in now
Previous teams were contacted for first option, pretty fair for those who have supported the event in the past, this from AROCA Vic website ...
Interest in the 2010 6-Hour Regularity Relay is so high that already there have been expressions of interest from 42 teams with another ten team entries on the waiting list and Supp Regs for the event have not even been sent out yet.
A sure sign that this event is a must on the club motor sport calendar is the news from Event Sec Neil Choi that there are 18 Alfa Romeo teams lining up to fly the cross & serpent banner this year.
Surely with that number of entries the odds of an Alfa team winning the event have never looked better.

Thanks Mary Lee for her efforts.

Reminder to all Alfa club members (or other 6 hr competitors if you like) that if you want to attend the usual 6 hr dinner, you must book through the form posted above and send to Mary Colautti immediately, payment must be included or no booking will be taken.
Neil
Hi there all,
For any members who are coming up to the 6 hr to witness an all podium Alfa victory, if you are available to officiate ie at start/finish, safety car crew, flag marshal, control tower relay, in fact any roles, I would be most appreciative if you can contact me via email or phone. The more the merrier to spread the workload and still have time to wonder around the garages and watch the track action.
Of course, we will be looking after you with lunches, drinks, cakes, chocolate, all the refreshments you can have from our officials marquee etc etc.
Great way to spectate and be involved in this great club and event.

Neil

Thanks so much to Mary Lee.

where can I download the supp-regs?
Thanks.
Your team manager has it and should have passed it on. Obviously he is not doing his job as I had stated in the email to pass onto team members.
But as you are a good guy who will be behind me all the time, I am nice enough to send it to you.
Cheers
Neil
Neil,
Thanks does that mean if I get in front of you, I won't get any more favours :)
BTW is there a reason why you don't want the sup-reg on the aroca6hour site?
Glad you can frigging sleep, I wouldn't be as I still have a mountain of documents and arranging to do as well as get my cars fixed and ready.
May a thousand goats rush up your backside and curse you and your generations to come.
Not happy but................ it is going to be a ripper of a weekend.
Cheers all
Neil

Also, I would like to apologise for the intervention of the Safety Car late in the event, a power steering hose fitting decided after 5 years that it didn't want to be part of the car anymore, so it seperated its self from the power steering pump, dropped all the power steering oil straight onto the extractors and then have a flame out.
No damage at all to the old XE Falcon, other than the need for a new hydraulic fitting.
Sorry everyone
Bloody hell mate, no need to apologise, you can't forsee things like that. Good to see you guys there again, and Jeebus that ugly orange thing is fast in the rain. I expected it to be quick in a straight line, what with a bloody great V8 in the front, but it's wet pace really suprised me, I think it lapped me in the wet within 10 laps!!
Hey there Trev
You can also look at it from the other side, so perhaps you just got small .....................!!!!! and everyone being normal.
Anyway, sorry to not have to have caught up with you and your guys all weekend, in fact, I didn't talk to many, as trying to do administration, race, look after my son and preparing two cars gets a bit hectic.
But hope you enjoyed it all and the event is certainly going from strength to strength, closing in on a good mix of teams, all with the same and a good attitude.
Regards
Neil
