Title: 2006 selespeed problem
Post by: NewbGT on January 29, 2010, 12:22:21 PM
I have had an intermittent selespeed failure warning on my 2006 GT. No gears can be selected when the warning is active, but after starting and stopping the engine several times the failure warning no longer comes on and the car can be driven normally. Has anyone encountered a similar problem, and knows how to fix it? Appreciate any assistance.

unfortunatly this is a standard prob with all selespeed. first thing is take it to a specialist and get them to diagnose the prob on there comp. it could be as easy as a reset. there is a fuse/relay that some times gets crap on it and its not contacting properly. then it could be the selespeed pump where are u located and check sponsor pages for someone local hope all goes well

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking a reset issue may be the problem also, but have towed it to my local dealer in Melb and now waiting for their report. There has been a bit of shuddering in 1st gear recently which may be related to this issue also I guess.
