Title: WTB: Alfetta GTV6 or Alfa GTV turbodelta
Post by: Mike on November 23, 2009, 10:19:43 PM
PS, I've seen everything on car sales/my105 tradingpost etc etc.

My criteria are, must be aas close as possible to concourse body work and interior (ie if it has a big sound system with speakers in door trims etc, I'm not interested).  I don't mind if suspension and drivetrain have been tickled, in fact this might be an advantage.  If it has been tastefully modified I may be interested also.  I'm hoping that something special will come out of the woodwork.

If it has lots of rust I am simply not interested, I have a project and don't need another one.  The car would be a weekender only, stored in garage and pampered.

I'm not really looking for a racecar, so if its been stripped out, it's probably not the car for me.

I would be greatfull to anyone who can pm me with details.

I can be contacted via pm or mobile - 0439396679.

haha, perhaps so.  I've always wanted a GTV6 or turbodelta.  After owning my Alfa 90, I just love the V6, and would like a car that looked nice to go with it :-).

There must be cars out there guys and gals, so drop me a call for a chat.

Mike,
I was thinking more of the turbodelta when I said that - GTV6 should be safe enough - though it would be kinda cool to have the full progression from NA to twincharged 4s...

250 bhp 'very' conservative from a Beninca turbo pending EMS and turbo. They still hold Sport sedan track records with 400 - 450 bhp 2 litre turbo motors driven by Dom & Joe. Peter's last normally aspirtated 2 Lt motor even had 250 bhp ATW's (Angelini head/ 20 yrs development etc).

Apparently the Angelini head was sold immediately to a European buyer  when they advertised.

Would love to get my hands on an 'old' Beninca turbo! Have lots of fun.

Paul

they are still for sale, look around...

Anyway, beninca engines are nothign special by todays standards.  They just improved on the autodelta setup by adding an intercooler from what I can see....no substitute for boost/cool charge :-).

My turbodelta runs an intercooler, so should be spritely...maybe no record breaker but good enough.

the beninca manifold is a better  design IMO.... neither ran an IC originally but the beninca car made alot more power. I'm talking about the factory AD turbodelta stradale and not about the local dealer fit cars btw.. My car is in storage so will have some pics after xmas when I will finish it. No doubt we wouldnt bother with blow through carbs if we wouldnt like the old school aspect, right Mike? ;D
