Title: G'day Big Trev here
Post by: Big Trev on November 10, 2006, 09:33:07 AM
G'day Everyone,

Big Trev here, I was a co-driver in the Orange Ute at the 6 Hour.

I am also a Committee member of Benalla Auto Club, the owners of Winton Motor Raceway.

I spend a lot of time there officialing, so it was nice to see the other side for a change last weekend

Congrats to all the AROCA team for putting on such a great event, we had a sensational time amd we are are looking forward to next year.  We will be back.

Was great to see you out there Big Trev.  I just loved the diversity of vehicles last weekend.  Where else would you see an XD ute vs a TVR vs a Rover SD1 vs an RX8 vs many Alfas?   Just brilliant   Just like the good old days of motorsport.  Keep it up Big Trev.

By the by, I seem to remember a test on utes saying that they're actually more aerodynamic with the gate closed.  Have you tested this?  You were the ute with no gate right?

Thanks Sheldon, yes we were the Orange Ute without the tailgate.  We have had the Ute for a while and threw the tailgate away before we found out about the benifits, oh well!!

We have actually retired the ute after last weekend and we will be transfering all the running gear into an XE sedan, they just handle a bit better, it is getting painted this weekend and will standout among the crowd.

It was a great event and we (J&A No Bull Racing) will all be back next year.
