does anyone know where I can get a new windscreen for a 1979 Alfetta sedan or one that will get me through a roadworthy assessment?
preferably in Melbourne

Try Windscreen O'Brian, they have had screens for old Alfas up here in Brisbane, hopefully Melbourne stores can get them as well.
