Hi ,
I have 2 red wires from the Alternator B+ connector , one goes to the Starter ,
The other has a 25 amp fuse , does anyone know where this 25 amp fused red wire goes to.
The second wire should go to the fuse panel to supply the permanently powered circuits.
It doesn't usually have its own in-line fuse, but that's probably not a bad idea.
Thank you festy,
Do you know if it has a connector in the firewall area or does it go direct to the fuse box.
Normally its just bundled into the main wiring harness, and plugs into a large spade terminal at the fuse box.
25A seems a little low for that fuse btw, I would have thought the total load on those circuits would be more like 40A?
Thanks festy.
Thats how I got the car.
Perhaps I will remove the fuse.
It's non-original so could be attached to anything. Easiest way to check - disconnect the fuse and see what doesn't work!
Has the car had something aftermarket fitted? New stereo, car alarm, spot lights etc? That would be the obvious thing but it could just be an attempt to improve the original electrics much like festy suggests.
Thank you GTVeloce,
That makes sense as this wire is not showing on my Alfetta GTV manual wire circuit diagram.
Regards
Isn't it this wire?

I thought the G8 connector feeding the fusebox was on the inner fender on the starter motor side, no?
Hi festy,
My Haynes manual is hard to read and not clear as I need glasses 8) .
Can you please attach the complete wire diagram for the Alfetta GTV2.0 yours is much easy to read.
As GTVeloce had stated the fuse power wire come from the starter B+ wire bolt.
Regards
