What was the build date of the last steel bumper alfetta sold in Australia? I thought it was a 1980 model but i have stumbled across a 81 build.
My info has the 116.37 steel bumper model sold in oz between 77-81, the 116.60 plastic bumper between 81-83, and 113.18 Nuova 2.0 from September 1983.
I can't help with build dates though.
Thanks Festy, Now that steel bumper stamped 81 has been established, who has one and what number, there couldnt be that many.
Im interested to see the numbering and where they end.

I bought mine in 1976 from Talbot Motors in Collingwood they were definitely available before 1977
I have always thought that 1980 saw a restyling, including the plastic bumpers and a change in designation to GTV2000. I'[ve owned two 1979 GTV (with steel bumpers) and currently race on in GroupS.

-Alfetta GTV2000 importation '77-'81. Chassis code 116.370. Body code 116.37 These are the 'steel bumper' cars
-Alfetta (Nuova) GTV 2.0 importation '81-'83. Chassis 116.370. Body 116.60. First with plastic bumpers
-Alfetta (Nuova) GTV 2.0 ED.83 ED.84 Chassis 116.370. Body 113.18. Australian importation 1983- with the last sold in March 1986
This data would likely come from official sources and as we know may not match reality......
If you have the money, I'm sure you could seek a list of all Australian delivered chassis numbers and dates from AR Historico.
