Title: AR00512 dipstick length
Post by: dfrye on October 03, 2021, 02:46:54 PM
Would someone with an AR00512 2L engine mind measuring the length from the dipstick tube cap to the end of the stick per the photo?

Trying to avoid innuendo here, but the cap on my dipstick has obviously been sliding up and down the shaft at some point - resulting in someone using a chemical weld material to bond it back in place. I am thinking it may not be in the right spot. Mine is showing about 302mm, and I suspect it should be a bit less than that.

Hi, it took me a while to check dipstick length.
I have 2 x 2.0l 105 engines, their respective measurements:

340mm,  guide tube = 120mm
300mm, guide tube = 80mm

Looks like yours is 300mm, check the guide tube length, hope this helps.
