Title: 156 2.0 jts 2004 starter motor wiring
Post by: Bazz156 on July 09, 2021, 05:35:03 PM
Hi when I removed the starter motor I realised there were only 2 cables bolted on to the 12 v positive terminal and nothing on the small 12 v terminal. Is anything missing.

Sorry, I misread the question originally -

There should be a small lead supplying power to the the starter solenoid. The large lead is the main power supply that goes from the battery, then to the starter, then onto the alternator positive terminal. The starter is earthed through the casing.

The small wire should be there as part of a separate wiring loom, it's not connected in any way to the large 12v supply lead.
