Title: Harry's Garage Electric cars & classic cars
Post by: Paul Gulliver on December 07, 2020, 04:32:28 PM
Another really thoughtful piece from " Harry's Garage" . I know this in all in the UK & EU but I'm sure similar outcomes are headed our way.

Agree - excellent work from Harry.
Although 100% electric traction cars are inevitable, how we get to that point perplexes me no end.
The intention of the UK government (at the moment!) confirms the unbelievable lack of respect governments have for the intelligence of their public.  I would have thought the UK government would have a bit of a credibility issue at the moment with regard to how they have mismanaged the latest pandemic.

A government with agates would acknowledge one of the greatest producers of CO2 on the planet are the mammals - in particular the Homo Sapiens.  Not the Homo Sapiens obsession with a CO2 intensive commerce model, but the very fact that so many mammals / Homo Sapiens actually exist / live / breathe!

When any government does something about the overpopulation of this one and only planet by mammals, then some real change may take place.  Maybe the latest pandemic is some government attempt to reduce the worlds population?

Harry's comment re the tax advantage of buying new EV's versus the huge carbon footprint of producing these vehicles is poetry!  The Government "pays" the consumer to regularly purchase new high carbon footprint vehicles in an "attempt" to lower CO2 emissions.  Now that is ironic!
