Title: 81 GTV Australian dealer turbo
Post by: GBV GTV6 on August 04, 2020, 08:15:28 PM
1981 gtv Australian dealer turbodelta. Thoughts on what it's worth. Rusted body missing turbo, been sitting a while. Needs restoring. I'm thinking the cost of fixing it all will be double what the cars worth after all done. Thoughts ?

Gday,

Bit hard to say without seeing what's left of it, yes the cost will probably be double what it's worth at the moment but it will appreciate as time passes.

What original turbo delta bits are left on it? Does it have the gauge in the car and the exhaust manifold and bigger front brakes? There should be a braided oil feed line to to the turbo and a special t piece from the oil pressure sender, it should have an oil catch canister on the front of the engine, along with vents cut into the engine bay. Also what number is it if it was a John French car?

cheers.

Mick.
