Now I have told this story to a few fellow Alfa owners (and they rarely truly believed me), of how car jacking became so bad in South Africa, that someone developed a Flame Thrower Anti Car Jacking system for BMWs sold there.

Now, the best part was of course was when the South African Minister for Tourism saw this on the 6.00pm news!!!
Here, on national television, was a story telling the worlds tourists that if you come to South Africa, the crime is so bad, you need to fit Flammenwerfer to your car just to drive around safely. . . . :o
Apparently he had an utter fit and had this guy and BMWs South African CEO in front of his desk the next morning for a discussion that could never be reprinted here, or anywhere else for that matter.
