Title: JTS 2.2 crank shaft oil seal
Post by: SeleMatt on June 02, 2020, 07:11:33 PM
Greetings all,

I'm having a little trouble locating a genuine Alfa or aftermarket front crank shaft oil seal (in the timing case). I note they're easily available for the 2.2 Holden Astra: they're all the same from 2001 to 2009.

Is it too much to wish for... ;D...anyone been down this road already?

Try the following -

Arese Spares - Sydney - 0411123640
Italian Automotive Spares - Melb - 03 9036 1606
CL Bodyworks - Brisbane - (07) 3252 9315
Turin Imports - South Aust - (08) 8346 0000

If you have no luck with that lot god knows.

The job I am doing is replacing the belts (alternator etc), timing case gasket, crankshaft seal and water pump to thermostat coolant hose. Apparently the oil pump is mounted to the timing case. Does the oil pump have to come off and thus require a new gasket too?
