can we start a game where someone posts a picture of an obscure part
and we get to guess it ? Alfa of course and possible small hints and then after 2 days
a new one starts ?
what? where ?and what car ?
Neat idea! 8)
That part looks in good nick. Based on your signature, it's not an '83 GTV is it? ;D
Oil temp sender?
Fuel pressure sensor.............1995 < 2005?
Or air-con refrigerant pressure sensor?
Speedo drive
Either 164 or 916 GTV
I am with Domenic, it is a speed sensor from a 164.
Flux capacitor from an Alfa DeRomeo. Time & place unknown due to random travels at warp speed...
Sorry, I have no idea!
Closes in the morning
No one is correct -although close
Tacho drive.
Oil temperature sensor.
Water temperature sensor (?)
Not applying any technical knowledge here. Just throwing in what seems to be left!
ok the closest is alfetta 77 it is a alfetta oil pressure sensor
well done
ok alfetta your turn post a part,if not late tonight ill put a new one up
are we sure we're all looking at the same picture?
I've never seen an Alfetta with an oil pressure sensor that looks like that. The Alfetta sensor has an external thread...the picture you put up doesn't
Agree with Dom. Electrical connector looks too modern for a mid 70's design. Don't most oil pressure sensors feature a male BSPT thread?
A fluid temp transducer "usually" features an exposed probe whereas a fluid pressure transducer "usually" features a female-like cavity.
But who are we to argue.....................it is off an Alfa?
I also agree!
No Alfetta oil press sender that's for sure....the collar nut on the end suggests high pressure gas or hydraulics sealing.
Ok i was confused cabin fever and low cafeine
Levels
Ok it is the electrical transducer unit for the speedo that goes into to the transaxle
To send the signal
Ok as sportiva your next
OK, here it is...obviously a bolt, but where from? Funny what this COVID-19 does, work is crazy and kids home full-time so I'm working harder than ever!
Not sure the photo worked
No, sorry - its up now.
Good try but no, closer to the engine...
Well done Sportiva, it is the carby support mount!
We REALLY need to get out more . . . . oh, wait, DOH!
Ok Sportiva; Sud/33 temp sender from head, 116 lower suspension mount spacer, 116 gear selector detent retainer, & bracket for flux capactior? ::)
The bracket, is it the thing that clamps the window cable?
sorry guys, but is it just me ?
I still think the first picture isn't what we are told it is.
I still think it's a speedo sensor, but not from an Alfetta. As Colin mentioned the electrical connector is too modern for it to be from an Alfetta.
Carlo, can you confirm you have the actual part in your possession, or did you just copy and past the image from the internet?
Its from a series 2 gtv same as 75 speedo sender i hope thats what i paid for you guys have me worried now
The allen bolt i think is from hood the hold lining at the frame area front
Sportiva im working in yours
You have to wait al least 24 hours after you put photo up
So everyone can have a shot at it
I only just saw the post
And now alfetta77 is behind

Vin and Aggie are the winners for my contribution but I think Vin fudged the bracket discription so as not be a showoff
and anyway I have never found a working flux capacitor on any of my Alfas
Should bolt nicely into a GTV:
Im confused which photo are we guessing
Its not the rules it just gives people a chamce to go to the garage
And play around
Now am i guessing the aggies flux capacitor or
Sportivas window clip
Sportiva - I have seen that plug. From memory it is from a door? It gives access to the window pulley bolt?
Post 33 pic is a sun roof slider from factory 116 metal sunroofs.
Ok, I've got a real mystery part for you.
I have found this part more than once when removing the lower rear seat of 156 sedans, never been able to find where it comes from.

Theory... This part actually belongs to the Sportwagon. But it's on the broadcast sheet for the sedan by mistake. Assembly worker at Pomigliano d'Arco routinely throws them under the seat.
Or it's part of an ISOFIX arrangement removed from ADR-compliant cars in a similar fashion.
Well, have only found them under the rear seat of pre-facelift sedans.
Lug that pushes into the foam seat base and is used to locate Seat base on a bolt head/raised section of the floor underneath .... perhaps, lemme have another beer and another go :)
i thought I recognised it - its part of the mechanism that holds the rear seat armrest in place.I remember it pinging out when I pulled my rear seat out.
Eh? Please explain or show photo.
Don't really want to pull the armrest out to check - but if I recall correctly it looks like a piece that helped hold the padded armrest in place, ie I had to remove it to separate the padded armrest from the seat itself. (Of course I may be wrong, I reckon it was about 5 years ago.).
Yep, its one of two sliding retention clips from the bottom of the armrest.
Which is probably why you keep finding them under the seat!
have you also found any of the flat bits of plastic with the U-shaped cut-outs that keep the clips in place?
