Title: Giulietta QV - Engine Torque Damper Kit? Thoughts?
Post by: jvidd on February 04, 2020, 11:09:01 AM
Hi All,

I came across these as I was researching the front engine mount issue with the QV and how they're an issue (mine was recently replaced).

What are your thoughts on them? Has anyone had them installed and know if they're beneficial?

They seem like a good idea in theory, taking some stress off regarding the movement of the engine.

Hi Joel
The mounting of damper against the firewall for the Alfa Giuliette QV would appear flimsy and result in cracking/damage after time. However if you look at the design for the EVO photo installation using mounting against suspension strut is more robust and effective (refer to the amazon website for typical installations photos). Don't waste your money!!!!
Note : The damper units from e-bay and amazon are one in the same.
