Title: Twin Spark GTV Nearly Stalling, Idle Drop When Coming To A Stop With AC on
Post by: emmanuelb94 on August 15, 2019, 07:50:38 AM
Hi all,

New to the forum, and I've got an interesting one for ya!

My GTV idles perfectly when at a stop, and with the AC off the idle behaves as it should, however when I turn the AC on and I depress the clutch to come to a stop the revs drop, the Idle Speed Actuator catches it, and restores it to where it should, where it then hunts a little.

Any idea what the cause could be? I'm checking for splits in the air hoses while I've also had the Idle Speed Actuator replaced and reset done twice by the foremost Alfa specialist here, who tested it on a lift and said all was working as it should. This only happens at speeds above 10kph and with the AC on.

Thanks all!

You'll get the same advice here that I gave you on the alfaowner.com site.
