Title: Fiat 500 wheels on an Alfetta
Post by: GTVeloce on October 04, 2018, 11:17:17 AM
I just noticed Fiat 500 wheels share the same PCD as Alfettas (4x98). The centre bore is very similar and could be adjusted to fit (same size as the centre bore of 156/147 wheels which are often fitted to GTV6/75 cars).

This means there are a huge range of aftermarket wheels available in 15, 16 and 17 that are almost bolt on. Also, perhaps could use the front brakes as a brake upgrade fairly easily. Especially the Abarth brakes which are bigger than GTV6/75 Brembos.

I have always wanted to run 16in rims as I feel 17 is too big but 15 restricts tyre and brake choices but Alfa has very few 16in rims (in 5x98) and the few they did make are not too my taste (for installation on a GTV or 75).

I have been planning to change my hubs to 5x98 on my GTV to accept my Ronal A1s but now I'm thinking some replica Delta Integrale wheels made for the Fiat 500 could look awesome!

Has anyone done this (in standard 4x98)?

I noticed the bolt pattern a while ago, but I recall that the calipers were similar to the first generation 156/147 GTA with the "ears" for mounting, not the radial mount with the large bolts like a 166 or series 2 156/147 GTA..
Could still be made to work, just a bit harder to organise.

Fiat Abarth 500 wheels are so much better than anything alfa put on a 156 or 147, which mostly look pretty crap on GTV6s and 75s.
Offsets are probably similar, so will need a spacer on the rear to fix the track and push them out a bit.

Please do this!

You should check out posts by Mike (from Perth of Barnfind GTV6 fame) - he's fitted Integrale rims to his magnificent white GTV6 (which also has a 3.2 Busso from a GTA!). They look absolutely brilliant.
