In March 2012, Fiat Chrysler Australia took over importation of Alfa Romeo vehicles from Ateco. Subsequently, in May 2012 the MiTo range was adjusted. New interior trims and model designations used in European markets were introduced to Australia. During 2013, importation of the Progression and Distinctive 1.4 TB models was discontinued, owing to sufficient stock and the upcoming Series II launch in 2014. Herein referred to as Series 1C, also known as MY12.

In January 2014 the Series 2 MiTo range was launched in Australia. The Series 2 MiTo QV did not arrive until September 2014. The most significant changes were a revised front grille and interior finishes. All models were fitted with a  5" version of the uConnect infotainment system. In the face of dwindling sales, importation was ceased, most likely during late 2015, and the model was officially discontinued in Australia in April 2016. The MiTo was facelifted during 2016 (Series 3) with modified styling to align with the new Giulia. This model was not imported to Australia.

I'll update further with colours, upholstery and brochure excerpts. Also standby for a similar guide to the Giulietta.
