Title: Alfa sud sprint air con
Post by: MarcusG on August 04, 2018, 09:04:40 PM
Hi everybody
I am looking at putting a better Ac unit into a sprint. I seem to recall a video of someone putting a 156 unit into a sprint. I have started to do this but it does not look like it will work. I've had to cut the fan section off and cut fire wall. Any info on this??? Otherwise 33 unit??? Any advice or links etc??
Thanks in advance
Marcus

I can't imagine why you want to use the 156 unit, even if it did fit - it's useless.
The 33 systems were replumbed in sprints from memory

There's not much room under the dash of a Sprint or in the air box

I'd start with something out of a Toyota, perhaps a corolla.. aircon in this is alway freezing and strong.

I am currently putting a series 3 alfa 33 A/C module into my sprint. But would recommend not using it if you want a stereo and need to modify the lower dash mounts as the unit protrudes into the cabin more. It also required cutting the firewall as it is slightly deeper than the sprint and series 2 alfa 33 units. if there is an small unit that fits inside behind the dash i would be interested too.
