I love your optimism Carlo. If its been sitting in a Bathurst paddock for 20 years, good chance it turned into grain long ago. :'(

I've got a number of suds been sitting in a paddock 20 or more years. Had to move one with the forklift and literally broke in half  :o

Bloke around the corner from me has a red Sud coupe, on axle stands, minus wheels, engine, exhaust, various body panels sitting under his carport waiting for him to start restoration. He put it there about 4 years ago and I haven't seen a single thing move since.

You're in Perth. Doesn't that mean someone will complain to the Council about it, they'll come and erect a six foot Colorbond fence across his frontage, and sell his property up when he refuses to pay? That's the impression I have gained from across the other side of Australia.

Not in my council area CB.  :D

They only seem concerned with barking dogs.

Hi Carlo
Found this on Gumtree.
In the comments section he notes the car came from Sydney, 20 years ago.

Its in good nick by the looks of it.

4 speeds on the four doors, but surely 5 speed on the two door ti's? My 1.2 litre 78ti was 5 speed

That's my recollection.. my first Alfa was a four door Sud (4spd) while my mate had an orange 2dr Ti 5spd.  Later I had a two door Ti and then 2 Sprints in succession.  I box swapped a Ti 5spd into an QV Sprint once when doing a synchro repairer on its box.. car was flat out at 100km/h, revved it's nuts off ... but so fast through the cogs :)

From memory the half shaft drives that come out of the g'box are a slightly shorter on the Ti  (accomodate inner brake disc thickness perhaps) and I ended up killing an inner CV... youth, live and learn.  Some things are not plug and play.

I miss my Sprints, would love to drive another one day just for the memories.  Giulietta QV is the closest similar (Alfa) thing I've driven.. just faster
