Hi All,
I have just re-trim my gear boot and gear knob in black Leather
it cost me about $30 for the leather and kobb of red cotton.
a one day in time.
I think it can out well, next I'm recovering a Qv steering wheel.

Wow, that looks awesome!!! I just replaced my gear knob today with a weighted metal piece, much nicer than my worn original one.

I see that your gear knob is sitting quite low down, has the gear lever shaft been cut? Mine sits way higher than yours does.

I want to install a short shifter, but no one makes them for these cars. I have thought about just cutting the shaft down a little to reduce some of the gear throw, but don't want to mess it up, as they are hard to come by.

Anyway, nice pics! I'll try and upload some of mine when I get the chance.

Andrew.

Andrew Hi
Went you put your new gear knob on
Do you get different size bushes with it ?

I have found that you need to put the right size
Bush on the gear stick then push the new knob
On maybe tap lightly with a small rubber hammer
Try it
To answer your question No I have not cut my
Gear stick mate .
Cheers
Ps keep cruz'n
