Title: Broken gear change bracket?
Post by: Kay_147_GTA on March 17, 2018, 11:50:36 AM
So thanks to CitroenBender I finally managed to get the gator off my gear lever and have a look inside. Looks like the white plastic gear lever housing / gear change bracket is broken as it is moving side to side? Is there supposed to be play in it? From the pics of new ones they look like they should be bolted down.

If I replace this I take it I have to drop the exhaust?

Attached pic of the white plastic housing.

OK so worked out the issue after pulling back the black foam stuff, the white plastic housing body has snapped near the bolts causing the play.

Anyone know if this is easy to change or have links on how to do it? (I have looked but not having much luck)

Found this, not sure I'm keen on dropping the exhaust off myself :/

Dropping the exhaust is not that much of an issue. It's just a pain to do to get at such a simple job.
