Title: I had never seen this concept before - '97 Alfa Scighera
Post by: poohbah on August 20, 2017, 12:55:23 AM
I stumbled on this after watching that Chris Harris Alfaholics video.

I reckon it looks especially sweet in racing spec - and it shares a few styling cues with the Maserati 3200GT of similar vintage (another car I have an eye on purchasing at some point - the skinny wrap round tail lights on the series one is one of the best auto rear ends ever, and what's not to love about a twin turbo 3.2V8?)

wow so 20years ago we could have had an alfa as fast and decidedly better looking than the GUILIA( not saying its not beautiful) if fiat only let half of alfa concepts through to the keeper
Alfa and fiat Would be in a completely different position today
in world sales and prestige .not having to reinvent themselves after 20 years which i imagine the cost would be far greater
it looks like Maserati took it up by the look of the rear and that was the start of the maserati comeback ,is this when FIAT owned maserati?
I blame the bean counters at FIAT driving their nissan micra for these cars not coming to life

If I recall correctly, the 3200GT was indeed the Maserati comeback car under Fiat. And definitely looks like it took up a lot of the Alfa styling cues, including rear hips and side windows. I soooo want a 3200 at some point...
