Hi all,
Have recently purchased a 2013 1.7l Giulietta.
The four leaf clover badges have deteriorated slightly with the green leaf starting to lose its colour .
We were wondering if anybody has had any luck in fixing the existing badges with maybe painting the four leaves.
If so what colour green are the leaves exactly and how did you go about it.
Cheers
I don't think anybody would bother, they'd just replace them
They're available pretty much anywhere, cheaply ie.. https://www.partsworld-uk.com/collections/alfa-romeo-badges/products/cloverleaf-badges-giulietta
thanks for that
we have found in Australia here where we can purchase.
can anybody help us on how to remove the old and install the new.
Thanks
Hi Morrie
The replacement of 4 leaf clover decals is a simple 2 step process
Before you start record reference positions X & Y on body panels for the re-attachment of new decals.
Step 1
Use a hair drier on medium heat setting and apply heat to the surface of decal for about 30 or so seconds. Then lift one corner of decal with finger nail or scraper but be careful not to scratch paint whilst still applying heat and peel off decal.
Step 2
Clean area with methylated spirit and cotton wool and dry surface ready for attachment of new decal. Remove backing from double sided tape and apply the new decal using reference positions X & Y.
Repeat steps for the other side and your all done.
Cheers

Another way to clean the area is with isopropyl alcohol that you can buy from bunnings. It won't hurt the paint as much as metho. As a bonus, you can use it clean windows and it leaves a great streak free finish when used with paper towels
