Title: Alfa 33 start problems
Post by: mikeyd313 on May 28, 2017, 06:59:02 PM
HI all. I have a Boxer 33 16V which for various reasons has been sitting neglected in the driveway for 12 months. Decided to get it up and running, fully charged the battery, check all fluids and added 5 litres of 91 octane (petrol cap was an issue being hard to remove and looks not to have been tightened down properly - maybe water ingress). Anyway cranked it over and it ran sweetly for 15 minutes then conked out. Added another 10 litres of 98 octane and tried to restart it over last 48 hours cant get it to run for more than 30 seconds. Appreciate any thoughts on what I can check/fiddle with regarding the fuel system prior to heading for a mechanic to get the fuel system flushed out etc etc.   Unfortunately access in the driveway location is rather difficult but will give it a try.  cheers
