Title: 164 front door removal
Post by: V AR 164 on April 08, 2015, 01:54:30 PM
Hi everyone,

I want to swap the front doors from my donor 164 to mine. I know how to remove the hinges but the third gold coloured hinge is driving me crazy. Anyone know how to remove it? I have tried undoing the star shaped head bolts that connect the entire assembly to the chassis of the car but that are on to tight and I will destroy the head if I place to much pressure on them. I have spotted two bolts in the door itself that hold the mechanism to the door but I can't seem to figure out how it comes out of the door.

Any one know how to remove the door?

Hope you guys understand what I am saying hahaha.

Thanks, Andrew

Thanks VeeSix,

It works! What a nightmare for such an easy solution!

Thanks, Andrew
