Title: 1992 alfa 164q club permit
Post by: 310 on December 21, 2014, 09:42:54 AM
i am looking into a club permit for my 92 164q but I was reading the criteria and I see that a car needs to be 25 years older. Will I be able to get club permit, I have seen ef el falcons xr6 with club plates.

Mmmm, 1992+25=2017.  I think we are just moving into 2015 unless I am mistaken or been in a coma which is highly likely or I am not that good with maths.

great calculation neil I had to count twice to make sure I was right my car eligible for 2017.
where I am confused is that I saw falcon xr6 group notsure which club exactly  on a Christmas light run and there were 4x 1996/7 falcon xr6 with club plates. is there a loop hole?

Sounds like some dodgy rebirthing going on, being registed as an 1988 EA, and actually being a 94 EL with the changed sheet metal, will work until an alert police person, with a knowledge of Falcons, pulls them over for a chat...., Colin.

Stating the obvious here, but the falcons you saw are the reason the permit scheme is being tightened up... a minority taking advantage of the system, causing all car clubs to do more administration.
