Its been over 12mths and my father is quietly freaking out over the restore cost of this vehicle ,since he had one small item reconditioned and the place charged a small fortune and asked him if he would sell it (he was onto him owning this rare gem)
Are these alfas going to continue rise in value to make it worth every penny? Im a bit stumped because hes always put crap loads unto his mini minors, coopers
In short, no. Sad as it is there are simply too many of them around for them to ever cover the cost of a proper, high quality, paid for restoration. If it was a GTA then different story but a GT or GTV, nope. Much as we love them.
I didnt think there was too many RHD GT versions around anymore?? Or do you mean overall Bertone versions
Hi Blisso I am in tweed valley this car can restored reasonably and its worth it I can help advise but not do the work too busy but will support in any way john alfafarm 0755909474 0418189207

Nothing bad just he said someone with an alfa lived down the hill and he would love to get in contact .
We own the farm with the radar!
Scary I can look at that radar from here clearly watched them build it ,I does not help my tv , and a Giulia sprint hiding that close to all its relatives down below love to talk phone or visit any time john
Think the previous owner was trying to convert to a veloce as it has a wood dash missing glove box lid and veloce engine
Got the pics ok lots of work to do if you give me the chassis no on firewall I will get exact alfa description john

good old tweed wreckers much more interesting than the shopping centre there now lucky find
Congratulations Lynette, in finding John at Alfafarm. He is a nice guy and knows his Giulia's.
I'm sure your father's investment is sound as good restored Giulia Sprint GT's are fetching $50K and upwards. Because of their great drive character and classic lines I'm sure the future will be bright for these cars for many years to come.
Hi Gary Long time we are taking the berlina and 7 other 105s plus others to Tassie with us next year john
Thanks Gary
Looking forward to it being on the road

LHD/RHD, from what I'm seeing there isn't a difference in value. If anything the LHD GT's and GTV's are the one's pulling the bigger money simply because they are being sold in markets and in places where there are more buyers with deeper pockets. Last year in Monterey Goodings got $93k for one, which was well discussed on Alfabb at the time:
http://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1968-alfa-romeo-giulia-sprint-gt-veloce/
http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/gt-1963-1977/344282-stepnose-pebble-beach-93k.html
But that doesn't mean everyone will get $93k or even $50k. I like this quote I saw recently: "Too much logic to the old car hobby will result in no old car hobby".
I understand exactly what your saying and yes at the end of the day the whole reason for loving these cars is the wonderful experience they give you of an era gone by and not the cost to get there😁
