Good luck all, safe racing.  I'll pop in and say hello on Sunday.  Neil are you going on Sunday?

Should be there both days to help out Hung and others if needed, to change wheels and polish battery.

I know my stuff, right to loosen and left to tighten.

See you there.

No Beninca Alfa on the Natsoft results. Did they not start at all?

Congrats to all of you who ran today. I hope you had a great time.

Cheers

Performance enhancer you add to a Grp S car.

What a great weekend, weather was kind on the group S races.

I had a trouble free weekend for once, the only thing I had to do with the car was checking the tyres pressure.

Neil was on hand to help me tighten up the wheel nuts.  :P

Hung the rose coloured glasses are in use! I could have sworn you announced that the pinion had broken and you were on the way home Friday, so not completely "trouble free".

We were lucky with the weather and it was great fun.

Having had a (largely) trouble free car for the last couple of years , in the last month I've been thru 3 fuel pumps, an alternator, head gasket and radiator but still have an unexplained loss of coolant and overheating. Looks like it might be a cracked head so off for more testing.

At least i finished all the races.

And some photos of the event, tried to get out of the pits a bit more on Sunday to get more of the cars.

Lots of Grp A&C, some Nc, Sports Sedans and Group S.

Chris,
The 'broken pinion' issue was only a 10 minute fix  ;D

Stuart,

Great pics. Thanks for posting.

What sort of running gear is in that black #28 Alfa sports sedan?

Cheers,

Brent

Sheldon had a glance at #28, said it was a toyota engine.  Very tidy bodywork - the flared guards looked great.

I saw that in the wet on Friday afternoon ( I must have been putting the rubbish tin out and away from the office for a few hours on Friday Arvo).

If did look really good . It had also been lowered and that squat wide stance looked really great in the darker color. Toyota engine is interesting. I thought turbo charged Nissan engines were  the weapon of choice for Alfetta based sports sedans.

Have a look on page 5 of Stuart photos

Yeah, there was nothing Alfa left in that black Alfetta.  Toyota 2.0, mid-front mounted, and a full space-frame chassis.

I thought it must be pretty radical, considering it was doing 1.22 around Sandown. Thanks for the info.
