Not a lot of room for error!  What was the format like?

From what I heard, it was really tight, and all first gear corners.
And there were a few who got it wrong, mainly the drifters.

I went to this afternoons show . Your right Evan , "Not a lot of room' . A 1.5 km rat race , One car wide with armco on both sides. All 1st & 2nd gear on cold tyres & brakes. Unfortunately  Angelo Verga had a touch with  the armco.

I think it was pretty brave from those guys as a lot of them will be at the Philip Island Historics next weekend.

Driving home I did have one question, what is it with "drifting" i just don't get it. Sort of like " synchronized swimming for petrol/ dick heads".

I was there on Friday with one of my Repco compadres and his Matich SR4

The thinking was: 5 lt Repco- Brabham + 1/2 lock of steering each side+ super tight track = no Phillip Island next week.

We didn't have to worry as the track was that tight he didn't get out of 1st gear.

At least he didn't clout the wall, unlike the driver of the little Bimmer M3
