Title: Melbourne Bayside mechanic
Post by: twistybits on September 09, 2010, 05:51:03 PM
Hi all, being a new care taker of a 105 Series, I am looking for any recommendations on a knowledgeable mechanic that has suitable experience to keep an old Alfa if prime condition.
I love to support one of the mechanics on the sponsor list but i live and work in Sandringham and they are all too far away.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. ;)

Mauceri Motors in Clayton are probably the closest Alfa specialists that i can think of... They're very good guys there and will treat your car with respect and not rip you off which is something you might not get from a lot of mechanics... I don't really know of any good mechanics around the Sandringham/bayside area (I used to live in Sandringham and have clients there.) I'll have to keep an eye out for you in your 105 and wave if i see you :)

Hi twistybits,

I've taken my car to Gary at Fiaparts/Alfaparts. Hes located at 46 Alex Ave, Moorabbin. Hes quite friendly and has a good knowledge of the transaxel cars. I'm sure he should be able to help you with your 105 as I've seen a few there.

Re Mauceri's, there's also a bus to Southland (822?) and from there to Clayton (631?), about an hour though. About the same time on two trains, so take whichever leaves earlier. Mauceri's is a bit further from the train though. I've found them to be nice trustworthy and knowledgable folk.
