Title: 1991 Alfa twin spark LSD + transaxle
Post by: Jekyll and Hyde on March 08, 2007, 07:17:51 PM
Do the twinsparks have the same size flanges etc as say a 3 litre transaxle, or are they smaller?  And the actual diff, is the centre bigger in a 3 litre than in a twinspark?  I've got my eye on one, but not sure whether I'd be better off tracking down a 3 litre transaxle for my turbo conversion.

Pretty sure they're the same.  The brake discs are the same so working backwards you'd suspect they are.  I have read that the 3litre transaxle is heavier duty but I'm not exactly sure what is stronger.  Diff ration is different, 3litre is 3.54:1 whereas the TS diff is 4.1:1 like the 2.5litre 75 diff.  CLutch is different too, one pulls and the other pushes
