Title: Bike Racks?
Post by: Asher1337 on July 15, 2009, 08:54:19 PM
Any cyclists out there?

I own a 2000 Alfa Spider and it's not the best car for bicycle transportation as you can imagine. :P

Anyone had any experience with bike carriers you can attach to the boot?

I've heard of the Saris Bones bike rack but I'm not sure if it will even fit my car...

cheers :)

Hi mate, used the bones on my old Mk1 MR2 to carry a couple of mountain bikes around the Alps back a few years ago. Seemed rock solid at 120mph! I fitted the bones between the big rear spoiler and the top of the rear bumper, with the restraining strap over the inner edge of the bootlid and on the tow hooks. Or you could just fit a tow bar and put a rack on that.

Awesome :) I ended up buying one similar to the bones

Has the strap system like the bones

Thanks for reply ;)
