Title: 166 oil filter change

What a nightmare removing oil filter from 166,anyone have any tips or tools segrets to make this essential job easier.oil filter is that well concealed,like a segret.ciao

Swear loudly.  Helps if you can do it in Italian.  But in all seriousness, undoing it isn't so bad (if using one of the 3 jaw claw type removers that look a bit like a spider), its actually getting the filter OUT that's the pain.  Sometimes, it just neatly squeezes out between the assorted hoses at the bottom there, other times you'll need to undo the brackets which hold said hoses to give you enough movement to get the filter out.  And yes, it DOES have to come out the bottom, between the sump and the subframe.  You can't slide it round behind the alternator and bring it out the side, unfortunately.
