Title: Silly Supercheap
Post by: bazzbazz on June 12, 2018, 05:20:32 PM
If you have a perverted sense of humor, just pop down to your local Supercheap and ask if you can buy a headlight bulb for a Giulietta and would some kind soul fit it for you. Just watch the staff run/hide/leap for their lives. And if your lucky, very lucky, you can corner some poor bastard and as you hand them the globe and watch the life drain from their faces as they realize there is no where to run.

And just to make the situation MORE suicidal, I notice some bright spark at head office has come up with the idea to fit your Air Filter for only $10. I beseech all 159 & Giulietta owners to drive down as fast as you can to take them up on this offer.   ;)

Sick, twisted, evil genius . . . . yes I am . . . .yes I am . . .   8)

Please no  :'( :'( :'( :'(

I happen to work at such store, and let me tell you, I have had my fair share with these bloody headlights. I refuse to touch any FG falcon or VF commodore, funny how I always end up with the hard ones at work   ???

For the love of our sanity, don't take his advice!!!!!!

Changing headlights.

Step one, order headlight tool 12539 from authorised service center.
Step two, drain fluids from engine and remove from vehicle.
Step three, remove left arm and replace with headlight removal tool.
Step four, access headlight recess from behind bulkhead while situated in engine compartment with vehicle jacked up precisely 36 degrees laterally, use removal tool to facilitate easy access.
Nb, procedure is for left hand drive vehicles, for right hand drive remove right arm and replace with tool, then repeat steps above...

Hey Andrew, does Supercheap offer $10 fitting of parking globes on a series 1 156?

I'd pay at least that just for the fun of watching them.

I just did the low beams on a Giulietta (again, mis aligned them first time)... the parking globes on a 156 which I also have done .... don't even compare !!

This is a job for a child jockey with small hands, ET or some poor prick you've paid up front...

And you probably wondered why I didn't leap at the chance to offer to do them for you when I was there yesterday.  ::)

I think he's at the recently opened Supercheap in Mitta.  ;)

This business of fitting basic stuff for customers, it sort of saddens me because it reduces the kind of thing many once did out of neighbourliness, to a more disengaged commodity.

My only trouble is when they rely on the computer with no knowledge of what works best.
Which headlight bulbs to you folks use?

Find link below to a site that lists all light globes fitted to the AR 159. I recommend that use this as the basis to search and select a good quality brand such as Phillips, Bosch, Hella for the globe specification.

They are the brands to get, or Osram.  Then comes down to where they are made...  +1 for Powerbulbs too.
