The problem is clear. Your car is too shiny and therefore it just needs to be driven more often to sort it out.

More seriously, when not going into gear, is this totally random in occurrence, or mainly a particular gear, or when the motor is hot or cold? Do any messages appear on the dash or warning beeps sound?
