Title: More problems, sunroof now.
Post by: giovannidc on November 17, 2015, 12:28:09 AM
My good Alfa does not like me getting bored.
Now the sunroof is stuck.
I tried resetting the memory but it's of no help.
What i noticed is that the glass is not flat, the left hand side is a bit lower at all times, meaning the tracks might be gone?
Any suggestions?

I managed to pull the motor out and clean the gears, also one of the three torx screws was undone and it was inside the compartment where the motor is. Cleaned everything, put it back together tightly.
Glass is slightly uneven again but less than before. Also i can't operate it not even if i reset it.

Back on topic:
i have gone a bit further into the investigation.
I pulled out most of the guts of the assembly and i can see the right hand side rails are worn out and need replacement.
Would it be a good idea to cannibalize a part from a wrecked 147?

Hi giovannidc,

Thanks mate, wonder if i could get a quote as it is a bit far from where i am.
I'd probably get the whole assembly...
