Hi there,
Just traced an exhaust leak on my 916 GTV to a crack in the pipe half way between rear mufflers.
I am thinking that this can be welded. Thoughts and recommendations for an exhaust specialist?
I think this was caused when I reversed over a traffic island thumping one of the rear mufflers ::)

alanm, Have a talk to Corrado or Sebe at Mauceri Motors, 9 Meriton Place Clayton. 9543 6466. I'm sure they can advise or fix your problem. Barry

Thanks Barry, yes Mauceri are very good at what they do.

I actually took the opportunity to ask another Alfa specialist and club sponsor for his opinion at Spettacolo (always wonder if that is slightly annoying for them?). Anyway, he said that it is common for that to happen on 916 GTVs and the fix requires welding in a new section of pipe. The mufflers are usually fine.

So, once again, it is best to go to your friendly Alfa specialist first.
