Title: A new forum look and feel
Post by: Evan Bottcher on February 16, 2014, 11:10:43 PM
Hi folks,

We've been pretty plain and standard for a long time, and I've been meaning to do something about the look of this forum.  I've just updated the forum 'theme' with a more modern and stylish look.  Everything should function just about the same as it did before, just a little snazzier.  Please let me know if anything looks odd or is broken.

If you REALLY don't like the new look, I've made it a user-selectable option to return to the old theme.  Have a poke around your profile and you should be able to select the old theme.

cheers,
Evan.

Very niche, can we now say it's not a forum, it's an Alfa Club?

I miss my read new posts button!  :'(

Edit; no wait, it's the unread button. Cool Jesus is back in  ;D

I suggest not - the Alfa Club (through it's state chapters) is much more than an online forum.  It's monthly meetings, social events, drive days, technical nights, motorsport events, magazines, newsletters, discounts from mechanics and parts suppliers and lots more.  AROCA pays for the hosting for this forum, and club volunteers maintain it.

Folk who are not paying members of an AROCA chapter are welcome to contribute here on the forum as guests of the Alfa club.  Those who are members of AROCA (like Cool Jesus) can present their membership number in their profile to show their commitment to a great club!

I probably should update that header graphic to better differentiate the club from this forum.

Does that make sense?

Evan, I was just trying to make a funny by playing on the recent alfa ads. Wasn't being that deep and meaningful in my poor quip  :(

Nate piss off and google AROCA NSW, or http://www.alfaclubnsw.org.au/ (http://www.alfaclubnsw.org.au/) membership forms are on the website. May even vote on a new club position of - club enforcement/complaints officer  ::)

Ha! I totally didn't get it sorry CJ.

I never miss a chance to soap box though! Join your local club chapter, they're awesome.

just like most Alfa's, it looks good in black but better 'cause you don't have to wash it. Almost as stylish as my 75 ;)
Great job.
Cheers Darren

Thanks for that Evan. I hadn't realised after all this time that I could put my number in.  :-[

As past President, Vice President and long time and current committee member, I can thoroughly recommend joining AROCA to anyone who is not a member. You meet some wonderful people and have a lot of fun with your Alfas.
