If you are in Perth, the car will be on display at the Italian Car Day - SUN 24 FEB
Know how you feel Ed....
Thanks Scott,
hard to swallow isnt it?
Can't quite believe this might happen, especially when i intended to keep till the day i die.
But that's not to be.
A lot of people Australia wide know this specific car and the model itself so hopefully, it might find a new worthy owner, much like your GTV.
Yeah, it is a great car (the GTA), having driven them all, I always thought the 156 GTA was the pick of the GTA's, and yours is a good one.
now advertised on carsales.com.au -

Swap the Sprint for it Ed ;D
I won't be able to complain about changing into 5th on the sweeper onto the main straight at Phillip Island again!
Sorry, Brad, you didnt quite come up with a big enough offer...
... it is now sold...
A very sad little boy indeed am I. Scott, got a spare shoulder to cry on?
The things we do for love (and shelter).
At least i will have my Alfetta GTV in a week or so to play with, and... it wont be the same driving to work in a VAN!
commiserations bro. I only had a couple of rides in that car, but she was a beauty. The nearest you could get to a FWD muscle car I reckon (Oldsmobile Toronado apart of course). The stirring noise (in 2nd gear through the Tunnel, thanks for that), the sphincter-clenching acceleration, and those beautiful seats. Great car, hope it's gone to a good home.
Just think, 9 months ago you could have swapped it for two 90's!! Bet you feel a bit sick now.
Yes Ed, I know the pain, finalised the Grp S car sale on Mon and am feeling the emptiness already.....
Delivered to it's new owner Saturday AM. I hope he enjoys it and looks after it... at least he is a club member (and brother of a Vic club member too).
I will hopefully take delivery of my 80 Alfetta GTV 2000 this weekend. Meanwhile, i will be Alfa less for the first time in about 9 years.
