Title: Romanzo Criminale
Post by: poohbah on February 25, 2013, 12:48:17 PM
Howdy all,

Apologies if anyone else has already mentioned it, but there is drama series showing on the Foxtel Showtime channel you might be interested in.

Called Romanzo Criminale, its about a gang of thugs rising to the top of organised crime in Rome in early 80s. No thinking required to watch it, but the real appeal for me is that everywhere you look are fantastic old Alfas, Lancias and Fiats. The lower ranked hoods mostly old Guilias, and the gang leader gets around in a magnificent Lancia Fulvia.

Worth a look, even if you turn down the sound and just watch for the cars.

Cheers

I agree this is a too show for seeing classic italian cars.

i caught 5 mins of it the other night. i've recorded a couple of episodes to look at more clearly. Spotted a Fiat 850 sedan(white), 105 GTV(sage green), and a fulvia berlina(dark green/blueblack?) in that short segment.

I noted that these cars got used a few times in different scenes and different setting (parked and driving). The production designer wasn't counting on italian car nerds being able to spot the double ups.
